Important to Remember!
Convex & Concave Pieces
Cut both concave and convex pieces with the Neo curve Ruler.
Follow the convex simbols on the ruler to cut convex pieces and concave simbols plus inner blue lines to cut the concave pieces.
The sizes on the Neo ruler are for quarter circles, from 1″ to 12″ with 1/2″ increments. For full half circles or full circles the numbers has to x2.
Curevs sizes on the Neo ruler are finished sizes in inches.
It means, they indicate the sizes of the block (convex + concave) after sewing it to other blocks.
Multiple endge seam allowance
Curves seam allowances are 1/4″ and they are included in the size indicated.
Edges seam allowances can be 0, 1/4″, 1/2″ or what you choose. Learn how below.
Use a 45mm rotary cutter to cut the curves except:
The curves with * near the begining have to trace with a pencil or a needle and cut with scissors or with rotay cutter without the ruler.
The curves with ** near the begining can be cut like * curves or using a 18mm rottary cutter.
Check all the references on the ruler:
Check the table below to know the fabric piece you need to cut the concave and convex cureve pieces depending on the size and the edge seam allowance chosen.
Desired finished size indicated as X (Ex: X = 4″) Square: sq. Width: w. Height: h.
Check the fabric needed, align as indicated and cut by the finished size label depending on the shape and size you whish.
Remember all pieces has 1/4″ curve s.a. included.
All the example are for a 4″ finished quarter circel block (8″ full circle).
